More Than Just Therapy

Kids Care Collective (KCC) has supported children under 12 since 2009, offering personalised, hands-on therapy that creates real change. Led by an experienced Occupational Therapist and Speech Pathologist, we combine clinical expertise with play-based, engaging approaches tailored to each child’s strengths and needs. Therapy at KCC is practical, creative, and designed to fit naturally into everyday life—at home, school, or play. We focus on building strong connections and helping children thrive in the environments that matter most. At KCC, every child is seen, heard, and supported in a way that fosters confidence, growth, and meaningful progress.

Our Mission is to help transform little lives. We need your expertise!

KINDNESS

Kindness is at the heart of everything we do. We foster a culture of empathy, respect, and support, both within our team and with every client. Through compassion, patience, and openness to diversity, we create a safe, inclusive space where everyone feels valued, heard, and supported to grow and thrive.

CHILD-FOCUSED

We create a culture of care, empathy, and support in every interaction. Our therapists prioritise each child’s wellbeing, offering patient, individualised care. We celebrate every child’s uniqueness, foster mutual respect, and model kindness. Being child-focused guides all we do, helping children feel safe, heard, and supported to thrive.

COLLABORATIVE

We believe collaboration leads to meaningful progress. Our team works closely with families, educators, and professionals to ensure each child receives consistent, well-rounded support. We share ideas, value every voice, and build strong partnerships. This collaborative mindset guides our work and helps us achieve the best outcomes for every child.

Empowering Team Spirit

We recognise and celebrate wins – big or small – because every step forward matters.

Team lunches and shared moments help us stay connected and recharged.

We celebrate milestones together, from birthdays to breakthroughs.

Team-building days aren’t just fun—they strengthen our trust, collaboration, and sense of belonging.

Wouldn't it feel empowering to work in a team that values your voice?

Thriving Beyond Work

Your Questions Answered

We provide dynamic, learner-led support every week. Our approach is not about sitting in a room with your supervisor for long discussions; instead, it’s hands-on, practical, and engaging. You’ll be actively involved in workshops, real-life practice scenarios, and learning through tactile, hands-on methods. We believe in learning from each other, so you’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with your peers and team members, not just senior supervisors. This creates a collaborative environment where everyone’s experiences and insights contribute to your professional growth. Whether it’s through case discussions, role-playing, or team-based activities, our support system is designed to be engaging, empowering, and truly reflective of real-world practice.

Our onboarding process is designed to be slow, supportive, and comprehensive. We understand that settling into a new role takes time, so we’ve built a structured process to ensure you have the support you need every step of the way. Here’s what you can expect:

  • Observation & Learning: In your first few weeks, you’ll have plenty of time to observe sessions, interact with resources, and understand how we work. You’ll see firsthand how we conduct therapy, set goals, and plan interventions. This is an opportunity to get to know the tools and resources we use in our work, as well as our staff portal, which will be your go-to hub for information.
  • Understanding Policies & Procedures: You will be guided through our company policies and procedures, ensuring you understand how things run day-to-day. We want you to feel confident in your role and clear on our expectations.
  • Hands-On Support: We believe in learning by doing, so during this period, you’ll be involved in sessions and practices with the guidance of your supervisor and colleagues. You’ll be introduced to our team of staff who will support you in every way. Our supervisors are here to lead you, provide feedback, and offer insight as you grow in your role.
  • A 100-Day Learning Process: The first 100 days of your employment will be focused on gradual learning and growth. This means that the pace is slow, supportive, and designed to ensure you’re fully prepared. You will receive consistent feedback and have plenty of opportunities to ask questions and refine your skills before fully diving into more complex tasks. We are committed to helping you succeed, and the 100-day process ensures that you are well-equipped to meet the needs of your clients and the team.

Our onboarding process is structured to help you grow comfortably into your role, and we’re here to support you every step of the way!

At our organisation, we prioritise the well-being and mental health of every team member. We believe that a healthy, happy team is essential for providing the best support to our clients, so we’ve built several systems and practices to foster a supportive, people-focused environment:

We have a recognition program that allows team members to celebrate each other’s efforts, both big and small. Through this system, everyone can give and receive recognition, fostering a positive atmosphere where achievements are celebrated. This encourages a culture of appreciation and support, where every contribution is valued.

We understand that each person is unique, with different needs and life circumstances. That’s why we are dedicated to being people-focused in all aspects of our work. We maintain open communication and encourage a work environment where everyone feels seen, heard, and supported.

We understand the importance of maintaining a healthy work-life balance, which is why we set achievable client support hours. This ensures you have a manageable caseload without overwhelming expectations, allowing you to provide the best care for your clients without compromising your own well-being.

We’ve also built in admin blocks and “lock-out” afternoons where no client work is scheduled. This gives you dedicated time to catch up on paperwork, plan for upcoming sessions, and recharge, so you’re never overburdened. We believe that structured time is key to maintaining mental well-being and ensuring you have enough time for both client work and self-care.

Our team regularly checks in with staff to ensure they are feeling supported. Whether it’s through regular team meetings, one-on-one check-ins with supervisors, or informal conversations, we make sure you have a space to express your needs and concerns.

We pay 15% above award rates and offer weekly bonuses based on the number of Client Impact Hours you reach—because we believe in rewarding your extra effort.

You’ll also receive additional paid leave, which increases with your time at KCC—ranging from 3 extra days to a full additional week!

We provide paid personal professional development, plus 10+ hours of team PD each year. You’ll be equipped with a laptop and phone, and you’ll also be paid for travel (KM reimbursement).
