Supporting your child’s development with clarity, care, and transparency

At Kids Care Collective, we believe that every child deserves access to high-quality, individualised therapy. Whether your child is accessing speech pathology, occupational therapy, psychology, or working with an allied health assistant, our goal is to provide meaningful, evidence-based support in a way that’s warm, accessible, and tailored to your family.

We know that understanding therapy costs and funding options can feel overwhelming at times. This page outlines everything you need to know about our fee structure, cancellation policy, travel fees, and the types of funding we accept. If you have any questions, we are always happy to chat and guide you through the process.

Assessment Fees

Getting to know your child—and the goals that matter most to your family—is the first step in delivering effective therapy. Our assessment process is personalised for each child and typically takes place across the first two appointments (approximately two hours in total). This gives us the opportunity to gather valuable information, observe your child’s strengths and needs, and start working together on a plan.

If a report is requested following the assessment, this usually takes an additional one to two hours, depending on complexity.

  • Assessment session: $203.49 per hour
  • Report (if requested): $203.49 per hour

We are happy to discuss what an assessment might look like for your child during your intake or first appointment.

Therapy Fees

Our therapy sessions are structured to include direct time with your child, as well as time for planning, documentation, and reflection to ensure our support is effective and family-centred.

This includes 45 minutes of direct therapy and 15 minutes for planning, preparation, and documentation.

Psychology

Allied Health Assistant (AHA)

This includes 45 minutes of direct support and 15 minutes for communication with the supervising therapist and documentation.

All our fees align with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) price guide.

Cancellations

We understand that things can change unexpectedly. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we kindly ask that you provide at least 48 hours’ notice. This allows us to offer the time to another family on our waitlist and helps our team manage their schedules effectively. If a session is cancelled late or missed without notice, a cancellation fee will apply in accordance with NDIS guidelines. We’re committed to working with families in a flexible and respectful way. If you’re unsure about whether a cancellation fee applies, or need help managing bookings, please contact us. Our team is here to help.

Travel Fees

Therapy doesn’t always happen in the clinic—and sometimes, the most meaningful support occurs in a child’s natural environment, such as their home, kinder, or school. When sessions are delivered in the community, a travel fee is charged to cover the time and distance involved. Travel fees are based on:
  • The time it takes your clinician to travel to and from the session
  • The kilometres travelled
We calculate travel fees fairly and transparently, in line with NDIS travel rules. If you’re unsure how this applies to your child’s sessions, our team will be happy to provide a breakdown and talk through your options.

Funding Options

We know that funding can be a key part of accessing therapy. We are committed to helping families explore all available options, and we’re here to provide guidance wherever possible.

NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme)

Kids Care Collective is a registered NDIS provider. Our services and fees align with the NDIS price guide, and we support families who are either plan-managed or self-managed. If you’re currently applying for NDIS or need support in navigating your plan, we’re here to help.

Medicare

Some families may be eligible for a Medicare rebate for certain therapy services. To access this, you will need a referral from your child’s GP or paediatrician. Our team can help explain the options available, including chronic disease management plans or mental health care plans for psychology services.

Private Health Insurance

We provide itemised receipts that can be submitted to your private health fund if you have extras cover. Because each fund is different, we recommend checking directly with your insurer to understand your level of cover and any out-of-pocket costs.
